“The Impression of the Lakes of Maine I”
I want to begin a new series of paintings inspired by the place that appears when I close my eyes and follow my impressions of the magnificent nature of Maine. These works are not painted from a specific location, but are symbols of the landscape held in my heart.
This first painting in the series captures a dramatic, colorful early sunset. I wanted to share the warmth I felt while painting it, expressed through the yellow, orange, and red sky, reflected like a mirror across the water.
